As a Jeep enthusiast, I couldn’t resist posting this Ricardo Breceda sculpture that is located in Borrego Springs. Just remember to “tread lightly”.

Here’s another great Ricardo Breceda statue of a stagecoach and team of horses to brighten up your morning. This sculpture is located at Mr. Breceda’s “showroom” which is along Highway 79 near Vail Lake. Stop by and take a look at the many statues for sale and maybe take one home!

These are but two of the many dinosaur sculptures by Ricardo Breceda located in Galleta Meadows in Borrego Springs. Kinda cool to look across the desert and see a couple of T-Rex. Hopefully they survived this morning’s earthquake without damage!
One of my favorite Ricardo Breceda sculptures is “scorpion versus grasshopper”. Who do you think would win? These are but two of the 140 sculptures on display at Galleta Meadows in Borrego Springs.

Borrego Springs, the gateway to Anza-Borrego Desert State Park (California’s largest at approximately 600,000 acres), contains an awesome collection of metal sculptures (roughly 130) by Ricardo Breceda, many commissioned by the late Dennis Avery (Avery Labels heir), placed in Avery’s Galleta Meadows Estates and open to the public. Be sure and pick up a map to sculpture locations (available in town).
