Mission San Juan Capistrano

Mission San Juan Capistrano was founded on October 30, 1775 by Father Lausen, becoming the seventh of twenty-one missions in Alta California.  This pic shows its beautiful fountain along with Father Serra’s/Native American boy’s statues in front of the Great Stone Church.

Santa Barbara Mission

The Santa Barbara Mission was the tenth of twenty-one California Missions founded by the Spanish Franciscans, and was established on the Feast of Saint Barbara, December 4, 1786.  The present building was dedicated in 1820 and still functions as a church today.
